**The role**:
We are looking to recruit an experienced claims handler on a fixed term basis who is searching for a new career within the property sector. The role offers opportunity for career progression by developing your technical skills further and working alongside a hard-working committed team to ensure effective resolution for customers.

As an Adjusting Executive, you will work alongside your designated field adjuster throughout the handling of a shared workload of property claims to ensure these can be managed and resolved swiftly and effectively. You will be handling claims from first notification right through to settlement in claim values ranging up to £100k. You will ensure files are reviewed regularly and ensuring the best course of action can be determined for the customer and client and keeping them updated consistently.

**About you**:

- Confident and resilient attitude
- Excellent customer service skills and being a good communicator
- CERT CILA/CERT CII qualified is desirable but not essential
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Work well under pressure and within fast-paced and changing environments
- Organised and ability to effectively manage a workload
- Proactive and maintaining good working relationships
- Adaptable and ability to problem-solve
- Good understanding of the insurance sector and policy wording and processes
- Technical knowledge is desirable or a basic understanding of domestic properties and construction

**Your new role will involve**:

- You will demonstrate empathy and provide excellent customer service
- Keeping the customer and client updated in accordance with their needs and requirements
- Identifying customers who may have a vulnerability and be able to adjust your communications and handling of the claim
- Handling multiple claims simultaneously and effectively manage your time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines to ensure timely resolution of claims
- Maintain confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and adhere to professional standards and codes of conduct
- Using systems and being competent of maintaining electronic files to a high auditable standard
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence effectively and complete case enquires
- You will maintain excellent working relationships and demonstrate a pro-active attitude
- Provide assistance on site on occasion if required and assist with minute taking of meetings, preparation of the action plan, taking statements/photographs
- Ensure daily time recording and delivering a high proportion of chargeable hours demonstrating technical competence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
