What it's like to work here:You’ll join the Engagement team that sits within the Visitor Experience team and report to the Senior Visitor Experience Officer. As a team we lead and support the planning and delivery of programming (events and activities), interpretation, and marketing and communications at a busy property. We work closely with the Operations team, as well as all other departments, to ensure a fantastic day out for visitors. Alongside the Volunteer and Community Involvement team we are exploring more community partnership opportunities and furthering our work with children and young people.

What you'll be doing:The programme is varied so you’ll need to confidently engage with our visitors through a combination of first-person interpretation in historical costume, storytelling, nature activities and guided walks and tours, both indoors and outdoors. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of an enthusiastic team of Costumed Volunteers.

You’ll create engaging written interpretation for exhibitions and trails to help visitors make the most of their visit. Happy to get hands-on, you’ll help to install exhibitions and trails and set up and take down events. You’ll also support the marketing and communication of events and activities both internally and externally, by communicating the offer to front of house teams and providing content for internal newsletters, our website and social media channels.
