**Pay Rate: £11.45 per hour PAYE**
**This opening assignment is for 3 months **The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to SENISS and Speech and Language Communication Service.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide high quality administrative support to SENISS and the Speech and Language Communication Service.
- Manage appointments and electronic diaries to ensure that up to date information regarding staff availability/whereabouts is available at all times.
- Ensure that accurate information is recorded on relevant IT systems and undertake a support function and link with the Strategic Intelligence Team on the management and utilisation of data.
- Liaise with schools, head teachers, SENCOs and other professionals within Children and Young People’s Service and partner agencies to ensure that policy and practice in relation to Early Help is communicated effectively.
- Create, manage and keep up to date electronic filing systems pertinent to the needs of the services.
- Keep accurate financial records in order to assist team managers in their financial tracking.
- Maintain databases and records on a weekly basis for contracts and Service Level
- Agreements, raising invoices, tracking payments and keeping accurate financial records.
- Co-ordinate the processing of orders and the issuing and payment of invoices for
- The SEN Assessment and Pupil Support team using the LCC financial management system, including the tracking of credits and debits.
- Assist with the production of financial information for Finance as and when required.
- Liaise with professionals on all relevant matters related to financial payments and recoupment.
- Provide high quality administrative support to local authority SEN panels including the provision of comprehensive support documentation for each case referred.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant qualifications in literacy and numeracy GCSE A - C, or equivalent).

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
- Experience of administering local authority panels.
- Experience of working as part of a team including multi-agency teams.
- Experience of financial systems (e.g. SAP).
- Experience of providing administrative and data support as part of team working.
- Experience of dealing with queries, ensuring highest quality standards in terms of professional practice and maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience of servicing meetings, courses and conferences and associated functions.
- A general knowledge and understanding of current relevant legislation, policy and working practices regarding disabled children and children with additional needs.
- Working experience and knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Ability to efficiently co-ordinate data collection and perform statistical analysis, presenting that analysis clearly and concisely, for a range of client groups, in a range of formats as appropriate.
- Ability to undertake purchasing and invoicing within Council policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of protocols to support SLAs and Traded Services.
- Evidence of good oral and written communication skills, using high standards of literacy and numeracy.
- Ability to work as part of a team, but also to work under own initiative with mínimal supervision.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
