**Outreach Advocate - Modern Slavery Response Team**

We are recruiting for a Outreach Advocates for a large Housing provider that supports victims of abuse. This will be to work on their Modern Slavery Response Team. You will provide high-quality frontline support to individuals who may have experienced traffickingand modern slavery. The role will involve providing outreach support to a caseload of outreach clients in London and the Home Counties

**Main Responsibilities**
- To manage a case load ensuring each service user receives high quality support appropriate to their individual needs, providing information, advice and support to potential victims of modern slavery.
- Have regular contact with clients and travel around London for key work sessions and community outreach.
- Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to ECAT* rights and help them navigate through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM)*.
- Conduct risk assessments and review support plans on a regular basis with all service users.
- To develop individual safety and support plans to meet individual needs of the service users.
- Identify and assess any risks and put in place appropriate safeguarding measures in response to these risks.
- To conduct regular key work sessions with each service user.
- Work directly with all key agency partners to address the safety of trafficked victims, such as the Home Office and the Salvation Army.
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to service users including in relation to legal options, housing, health and finance.
- Support service users to access appropriate legal advice with regards to their immigration and/or trafficking case, including support around criminal justice processes.
- To establish and maintain effective liaison with other agencies including GPs, solicitors, mental health services, education, social services, police and other statutory and voluntary agencies to help ensure service users receive coordinated help and support.
- Write official letters on behalf of service users to the Home Office, or other partner agencies.

You will need the following skills and experience
- Experience of providing advice and support to vulnerable adults, including adults with mental and physical health needs;
- Demonstrate awareness of safe practice when lone working;
- Knowledge and experience of providing a co-ordinated service with statutory and voluntary services available for the client group;
- Ability to support service users in crisis effectively, offer impartial advice and advocate on behalf of service users;
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately;
