**About The Role**:
Tilia Homes has an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Payable Supervisor to join a friendly team within our Head Office based from our office in Solihull. The purpose of the role will include;
- Supervising a team of Accounts Payable (AP) and Subcontract (Subcon) Specialists who are responsible for timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, coding, reconciliations & month end activities within COINS.
- Supporting the development of the team to increase the standard and quality of all aspects of the AP and Subcon roles.
- Lead in reviewing departmental results and identifying improvement for workflow and procedures. Actively support the sharing of new ideas and best practice across all areas.
- Processing invoices onto the COINS system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing
- Ensure that purchase orders, invoices and payments processing adhere to the respective control framework & authorisation protocols in place in Tilia Homes at Region & Group level. Head Office is part of Group.
- Manage supplier queries & complaints and drive resolution via the appropriate escalation routes within the relevant business functions (i.e., procurement, supply chain, finance, etc.)
- Manage internal & external supplier relationships for the given portfolio of activities
- Support and cover all cash & banking activities (payment runs, bank recs., etc) for AP and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Conduct ongoing housekeeping activities to always maintain clean ledgers.
- Ensure that all invoices are tax compliant according to Tilia Homes guidelines, at group and region level.
- Ensure timely processing of all activities to support the monthly/quarterly/annual close periods
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests.
- Drive standard processes through principles of simplification, standardisation, and automation where appropriate, & empower team to challenge status quo striving towards right 1st time every time.
- Support short and long-term operational goals and tactical objectives. Promote processes that are clearly aligned with the business strategy.
- Play a key role in driving the transformation of Tilia to promote excellence.
- Build and maintain relationships with the Region & Group Functions, and their respective Finance Partners and Directors to ensure effective delivery of aligned Finance business processes.

**About You**:

- Construction experience working in an Accounts Payable function (including Purchase Ledger and Subcon) preferable, but this is not essential.
- Preferably AAT qualified, or part qualified but this is not essential
- Previous leadership skills having worked in a similar environment
- Organisational skills to prioritise, manage and drive a team effectively
- Experience of delivering process efficiency within P2P process within complex matrix environment.
- Experience in Coins ERP preferred or evidence of working with other major ERPs like Oracle or SAP.
- Must possess "soft skills": conflict resolution and negotiation, personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, and influencing skills
- High level of commitment and flexibility, poise, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to interact with all levels, influence senior managers and be equally comfortable with senior management in cross-functional efforts
- Strong financial, IT and analytical skills with an operational focus
