**Quality Protects Children Ltd,** has been working for over 20 years within the North West, currently specialising in providing a range of services to support young people aged 10 - 18 who may present with complex needs.

The communities are children’s homes offering independent education. The homes are using the SPARCS methodology. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the introduction of this innovative therapy.

“SPARCS” or Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress is a group intervention, delivered during school hours, that is specifically designed to address the needs of chronically traumatised adolescents who may still be living with ongoing stress and are experiencing problems in several areas of functioning. The overall goals of the 16-week program are to help young people cope more effectively in the moment, enhance self-efficacy, connect with others and establish supportive relationships, cultivate awareness, and create meaning.

We aim to support the programme by having a staff team operating using SPARCS techniques in the day to day life of the home. The SPARCS team is supported by our in-house clinical psychology department.

**Post holders will be required to work a minimum of 35 hours per week 12-hour shifts, including waking nights and weekends on a rota basis. Pay is at £10.50 to £11.50 per hour, dependent on experience.**

Experience of direct work with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties is essential and preferably a Diploma Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People or a recognised professional qualification in therapeutic work with young people.
