Site Coordinator

MSC Cruise vessels require continued monitoring and assistance to mitigate any security risk to guests and crew. The Head of Security Investigations and Company Safeguarding Officer is responsible for the investigation of security-related incidents and crimes, Safeguarding concerns, and related training across the Fleet. This position provides support the vessels, and oversees and provides quality assurance to the Security Investigation Team on board. This will include management, approval, and closure of the reportable Security Incidents, statistical analysis, root cause, and corrective actions. The position will sit within the Security Department, MSCCM Uxbridge. And will report directly to the Vice President of Fleet Security\/CSO - This is an office-based position.
- At least 8 years as a Detective with a law enforcement agency
- Specialist Interviewer-Suspects or equivalent
- Recognized Child and Adult Safeguarding qualification
- Experience in a position of Chief Security within the cruise industry [highly Desirable]
- Must be proficient in M.S Office
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- English - C1 Language Levels according to CEFR - Common European Framework of Reference
- Diplomatic approach to problem solving
- Recognised experience in training delivery is highly desirable
- Confident to deliver training to remote personnel via Microsoft Teams
- Understanding of ISPS, CVSSA, cruise policies and procedures throughout the cruise industry; [ Highly Desirable]
- Recent and extensive experience in compiling criminal\/civil reports
- Ability to lead and supervise security incidents and crimes occurring across the Fleet
- Ability to cooperate for a productive team environment, and to travel at short notice overseas
- Basic analytical skills [Highly Desirable]
- Manages the Security Incident Reporting Platform and supports shipboard investigations to ensure the accurate, timely reporting and recording of crimes and security incidents across the fleet. This may involve assistance outside of office hours.
- Advises on jurisdictional issues and best practices that impact crimes and security incidents across the fleet.
- Ensures all incidents are reported in compliance with Company, Flag, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Audits reports to guarantee compliance with ethical and professional investigation standards.
- Monitors the shipboard training to ensure accurate reporting of each security incident, safeguarding, and crime.
- Overviews incident statistics to recognize trends and propose mitigation plans.
- Provides expertise in amending Security Standard Procedures related to Brand Protection
- Liaises and maintains contact with both national and international Law Enforcement.
- Liaises and collaborates with the MSC Legal Claiming Department in the UK and globally.
- Is the first point-of-call for all reportable Security Incident safeguarding concerns.
- Oversees and organizes the Company’s Monthly Random Drug and Alcohol Tests.
VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)
The existing right to work in the UK is preferred.
