We are looking for a Child Protection Chair who is curious and has children at the very heart of all they do. You will have the ability to develop strong professional relationships that support quality practice for our children and young people and be confident to challenge when this is not the best it can be.

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of social work with significant experience and understanding of child protection practice.

The role forms part of the wider Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service in Medway and very much has a part to play in the quality assurance of practice. This role will be responsible for driving good practice and quality assurance through quality assuring the effectiveness and impact of interventions on children and young people with a Child Protection Plan.

**Our offer**

We offer an excellent recruitment package, manageable workloads, and opportunities to access a range of professional development and support including
- A basic salary of £46,377 to £50,437 per annum
- An annual market allowance of £7,000 per annum (payable in monthly payments)
- A retention payment of £3,000. This is a fixed sum payable in April each year, following one years’ service in Medway.
- Hybrid working - enabling you to work from home/office
- Relocation package of up to £8,000
