**Job summary**:
Here at 203 (Welsh) Multi-Role Medical Regiment (203 MMR), we are inclusive and dedicated, working to provide an excellent level of financial and administrative support to all of our unit personnel. These personnel provide an integrated healthcare system within a single unit by combining deployed primary healthcare, pre-hospital emergency care, medical evacuation and deployed hospital care capabilities. These elements are all essential to the overall support of current and future military operations in the UK and overseas. Deployments cannot occur without the appropriate Medical Regiment support

We are looking for a friendly, well-organised and adaptable Individual to join our encouraging and welcoming team of dedicated reserve soldiers, Regular soldiers and civil servants at our Headquarters in the Army Reserve Centre, Gabalfa Avenue, Llandaff North, Cardiff, CF14 2HX

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
You will manage the cash office and will be equipped with all of the training and awareness required to carry out the role. The key deliverable in this role is all financial support for up to 325 personnel attending their Reserve training, which can be in barracks, other locations and overseas.

There will be a requirement to attend 23 days of centrally delivered training within your first 12 months. This is delivered at Worthy Down, Hampshire. This training is to support your ability to use the two key financial management IT systems that are specific to the MOD.

These are:

- Service Charitable Funds (Manual Accounting) - 10 days
- Cash Office management Application within the MOD Microsoft Office 365 suite and general finance training (13 days).

**Person specification**:
Main Responsibilities

Manage the cash office and associated IT systems.

Contribute to the preparation of the annual Bounty paperwork for the Reserve personnel through engagement and assistance with the Administrative Officers (AO) in the dispersed unit locations.

Management of controlled documents, railcards, ID cards, cash, cheques, stamps and Unit credit card will be required. These are reconciled monthly and will be checked by the RAO.

Carry out routine filing, archiving, destruction and recall of documents where relevant, covering both physical and electronic types.

Provide a Local Security Officer facility in respect of the management, creation or deletion of IT system permissions and passwords relating to MOD IT Infrastructure for the personnel within the Regiment.

Occasionally manage IT equipment where faults have occurred, or new equipment is received. This requires liaison with Defence Digital personnel.

Assume the role of the Senior Civil Servant within the Regiment, focussing upon messaging, assistance, and care of up to 10 others in the AO grade.

Training will be given in the management of the Payroll for the Army Reserve personnel and given an overview of the administration that gives the authority for it.

Familiarisation will be given on the use of other MOD specific IT systems. This will enable you to easily track the required activities and navigate to any policies and files that are relevant to your role.

You will also be required to assist in the wider department, within your capabilities, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team.
