Our international VC backed client is looking for an IT Project Engineer to join them on a six month contract. Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure responsibilities will include:

- Scoping and designing infrastructure and Cloud-Only related changes and installations for projects
- Contributing to and maintaining system standards while automating tasks where possible
- Performing periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
- Performing ongoing performance tuning hardware upgrades and resource optimisation as required, configuring CPU, memory and disk partitions as required
- Maintaining data centre environmental and monitoring equipment
- Maintaining system efficiency
- Maintaining network and system security
- Maintaining network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
- Maintaining network servers, VPM gateways, intrusion detection systems to ensure a reliable infrastructure is established
- Monitoring the performance of the infrastructure
- Management of multiple projects simultaneously

Person Specification
- Five years technical support experience or similar position
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Endpoint Management and Policies
- Industrial certification with Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar industries would be advantageous
- A Diploma in IT or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of and experience in visualisation technologies such as Hyper-V and best practice including an awareness of deploying and managing cloud-hosted compute in Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
- Developing, designing and testing enterprise solutions using Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Office 365 Productivity and Collaboration Tooling e.g. Teams, Powerplatform and emerging technologies
- Microsoft Azure Services (Azure Active Directory, MFA, Conditional Access, Enterprise Applications, Logic Apps, Virtual Machines)
- Experience with migrations covering Exchange, MS Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint (Tenant to Tenant Migrations)
- Experience with large scale Cloud User/Device Management
- Takes Ownership, collaborates with the ability to challenge conventional approaches and develop new cloud native capabilities
- Knowledge of modern security best practice
- Microsoft Active Directory, Sites and Services, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, Server Roles
- IT Infrastructure installation, support and maintenance (e.g. Network Switches, WIFI Access Points etc)
