**The role**

Orbit is delighted to announce that we are recruiting a Corporate Performance & Policy Officer to work within our Policy & Standards team. In this role, you’ll be supporting with the alignment of Orbit’s performance and policy frameworks, working cross-functionally with our internal teams, and playing a vital role in ensuring the successful development of our corporate performance reporting.

**What you'll achieve**
- Working in collaboration with relevant colleagues across the organisation, you will ensure that policy and procedure reviews incorporate a review of actual performance and consideration of appropriate metrics to support operational management.
- You will draft regular performance reports, delivery plan updates and prepare scorecards for a range of stakeholders including Leadership, Executive and Board level.
- You will work as part of the wider Policy & Standards team, supporting the work of the department as appropriate, including supporting the evaluation of compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards and play a key role in the design and implementation of Orbit’s Performance Management Framework assurance programme.
- You will be first point of contact for the business in reviewing KPI definitions, targets and tolerances. You will also ensure relevant benchmarking information is used correctly to provide context within reports, and work with our Communications team to ensure performance is communicated and updated internally and externally.
- You will work with policy owners to ensure that supporting procedures/processes are clearly defined with appropriate metrics/controls in place to monitor process delivery and support the performance management of our corporate delivery plans.

**What you'll bring**

**Essential skills**
- Experience with analysing and interpreting data and making suitable recommendations to key stakeholders in written reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrable experience of working with stakeholders at all levels and ability to present to diverse audiences and draft high quality corporate and customer-focused material.
- Great organisation, with the ability to prioritise workloads, work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Educated to A level or equivalent.
- Good IT skills including Excel, Word with experience of working with the wider MS Office suite of apps.
