Full time

We have an excellent opportunity for a Head of Future Talent & Skills to join our Head Office People team.

This role has dual-reporting to both the People Director - Talent; and the People Director - Future of Work, Skills & Capability and Chief Learning Officer - both being leadership roles that sit on the Group People Leadership Team at Rolls-Royce.

At Rolls-Royce, we pioneer the power that matters to our customers, to society and to the planet.

Every great product needs a great business behind it. Our work is complex, innovative, highly challenging and rewarding, and it takes a range of professionals to do it. Having the right people means we can deliver excellence to our customers.

We offer excellent development, a competitive salary and exceptional benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance and employee discounts.

Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, frequency will depend on business needs, nature of role, what works for the team and for the individual.

- Ensure that we take a truly global approach to all that we do in this space - understanding the nuance of UK & Germany Apprenticeship markets in particular.
- Partner with our Global Business Services (GBS) Early Career & Apprentice Academy Teams to oversee the implementation of the strategy, leading through influence, whilst also leading governance boards on redesigns and effectiveness of programmes.
- Collaborate with business Leaders & HR colleagues - as well as Group Business Services (GBS) colleagues on key Future Talent & Skill related activities.
- Provide advice and guidance to Sectors on the when Early Career programmes are the appropriate choice; ensure alignment of programmes to other organisational strategies i.e. Leadership Strategy, Talent System, Career Development Frameworks (CDFs) etc.

Who we are looking for:
At Rolls-Royce we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do. These are our organisational behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.
- Capability in developing and executing Early Career strategy, programme design and Talent Attraction - covering Internships, Apprenticeship & Graduates.
- Understanding of the Returnership market - both informally & through Gov’t programmes.
- Understanding of the potential within the Alumni space - and ability to design an appropriate strategy/programme in order to capitalise on that currently untapped potential.
- Ability to work across various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to build positive internal and external relationships with an understanding of external awarding bodies & Government Standards.
- Great oral and written communication skills.

We are an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to developing a diverse team and an inclusive working environment. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures give us different perspectives. And the more perspectives we have, the more successful we’ll be. By building a culture of respect and appreciation, we give everyone who works here the opportunity to realise their full potential.
