**Field Care Supervisor - Driver required**

**Crawley**

**£25,000 - £26,000 + On Call £150 per W/E + Mileage**

Our care client who deal with Domiciliary Care and Extra Care are looking for a Field Care Supervisor to join their Team, that will cover the Crawley area, it may be that you are currently a Team Leader or a Senior Support worker looking to progress?

This company are a rapidly growing Health & Social Care company that cover Community Care and Extra Care Schemes across London, South East England, Oxford and Leicester.

This role will be mostly based in the field ensuring that all Quality is being covered by a Team of carers, covering Crawley areas, it would be beneficial if you have worked as a Field Care Supervisor before but not essential, **you will need to be a Car owner/driver**

**Essential Criteria of the Field Care Supervisor....**
- Self motivated
- Good organisational skills
- Good timekeeping
- Good attendance rate
- Flexible within a working environment
- Caring and sensitive to needs of others
- Experience of working within a care and support environment
- (minimum of a year)
- Previous experience of administering medication
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- An understanding of the importance of working with person
- centred care and support plans including risk assessments
- promoting Service User independence.
- An active team player
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good communication skills; written and verbal
- Ability to display professional integrity
- Ability to work in accordance with company policies and
- procedures and governing legislation
- Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures
- NVQ / QCF Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
- Has been and has a full understanding of the role of the care
- worker.

**Desirable Criteria of the Field Care Supervisor......**
- Customer Service Skills
- Experience of supervising staff
- Understanding how the service and the domiciliary service operates
- Willingness to complete NVQ / QCF Level 3 training
- An understanding of care planning, administrative and financial skills.

**Principle Responsibilities of the Field Care Supervisor....**
- To follow the directions of the Registered Branch Manager in the care and support to be provided to each individual service user.
- To work with Service Users in a way that promotes their equality, diversity, inclusion and offers individuality, choice and control.
- To provide personal and practical care services for people with a wide range of illnesses and disabilities.
- To assist service users with getting up in the morning or getting ready for bed at night, with dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and toileting.
- To help service users with mobility and other physical disabilities, including incontinence and help in use and care of aids and personal equipment.
- To help care for service users who are dying.
- To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of service users through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreation as indicated in the care plan.
- To make and change beds; tidy rooms; do light cleaning and empty commodes.
- To launder service users’ clothing.
- To set tables and trays, serve meals, feed service users who need help, prepare light meals and wash up.
- To maintain accurate, concise, up-to-date and timely records of the service user’s care within the daily record logs and where required within the communication books to ensure a full complete hand over takes place at the end of each shift.
- Implementation of quality control procedures and the quality assurance process
- To participate as directed by the Registered Branch Manager / Regional Director in induction training and regular In-Service Training programmes which is appropriate to your role and have been identified through a training needs appraisal
- To maintain accurate, concise, timely and legible records relating to all service aspects
- To carry out Service User Initial Assessments and Risk Assessments
- Attending Service User’s first call to introduce the Care Worker to the Service User
- To organise and attend Service User Reviews, including reviewing and updating of Needs, My Care Support Plan including a Risk Assessment.
- To participate in Staff, Team and Quality Management Review Meetings as directed by the Registered Branch Manager / Operations Manager
- To report back to the Registered Branch Manager / Regional Director on any aspect of service user care which warrants investigation or urgent action
- To be aware of the tasks and activities which must not be undertaken as part of care duties, as set out in relevant Policies and Procedures
- To liaise closely with Care Coordinators to ensure correct Service User and care and support worker matching for new Service users or in instances of holiday / sickness cover.
