Supporting the functions of their finance team, you will be working across a range of credit control duties including managing customer accounts, credit checks, banking, and month end support, as well as ad hoc finance duties to support the wider team.

You will have solid Excel skills and good transactional experience across credit control with a thorough understanding of the finance function, and a positive, can-do personality An AAT qualification / working towards an AAT would be ideal but not essential, as accounting knowledge gained through a minimum of 2 years finance experience is desirable.

**Duties will include**:

- Processing credit notes - checking & reporting for both the company’s UK & US operations
- Creating weekly and monthly credit statements
- Checking, monitoring & chasing customer to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
- Managing customer account details and terms, ensuring details ae correct and up to date
- Reconciliation of customer accounts, reconciliations, and investigations.
- Managing the customer account stop process
- Managing credit checks for all accounts
- Monthly cashbook reconciliation reports
- Creating monthly credit note analysis
- Payments in, including banking of cheques & credit card payments
- Generating statements and financial reporting as required
- Ad hoc duties to support the finance team

**Skills and experience needed**:

- 2+ years’ credit control experience is essential
- Excellent understanding of the finance function
- AAT qualification or working towards AAT or similar is ideal, but not essential
- Sharp attention to detail, process oriented
- Highly numerate with advanced excel skills
- Excellent communication & time-management skills
- Effective at planning & prioritising tasks
- Be driven and able to work on own initiative
- Positive, can-do attitude
