The Opportunity: Workshop Estimator

Contract: Permanent

Location: Cannock

United Plant Services is an engineering and asset management business, renowned for providing market leading engineering support and fleet management for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) within the quarry and waste industry. We are part of The Briggs Equipment Group who are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. **The Impact you will have**:

- Company Health and Safety guidelines to be always followed, both internally and externally, ensuring our colleagues and customers are safe.
- Generate competitive Parts and Service estimates to achieve / exceed sales targets.
- Maintain effective communication with both internal and external customers keeping them always informed and managing their expectations.
- Ownership of estimate generation process with the focus to convert to sales within a timely manner whilst managing customer expectations.
- Optimise business opportunities to generate additional revenue.
- Achieve the minimum gross margin on all estimates generated.
- Prioritise all work activities to meet customer expectations in accordance with the Company’s contractual requirements and KPIs.
- Ensure close relationship with workshop supply chain - parts, 3rd party and services.
- Work closely with team members and Regional Managers to generate right first-time estimates.
- Own estimate process until job completion - including updating estimates and gaining authorisation if job over running etc.
- Monitor all pending estimates to a maximum of 7 days.
- Support with the training of new team members
- Actively promote team working ethic and provide support to cover colleagues as and when necessary.
- Professionally sell the benefits of United Plant Services
- Undertake any reasonable task requested by line manager.

**What will help you to excel in this role**:

- 5 years in technical environment
- 5 years demonstrable works estimating
- 5 years’ experience with supply chain liaison
- Financial & Commercial Astuteness
- Excel data management and reporting
- Industry knowledge to promote supply chain innovation in sector
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels
- Process accuracy and issue resolution
