- about 2 hours agoAre you a Compliance Officer looking for a role that offers the four-day working week without being a part-time salary? Our client is looking to employ a Compliance Officer to join their team, which is an additional role to them team. The role is a crucial position within their Risk and Compliance team, encompassing Compliance, Data Protection (DP)/General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Operational Risk. This role involves supporting the Compliance Manager & MLRO and the wider team in the development and implementation of a comprehensive risk and compliance framework. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our client meets regulatory requirements across various areas.
The role offers Hybrid working requiring 2 days in the office and 2 working from home.
**Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer**
- Support in developing and establishing in-house controls and compliance procedures, maintaining appropriate records and registers.
- Contribute to the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), undertaking business-wide reviews covering regulatory requirements and producing reports on findings.
- Review financial promotions and regulatory papers, monitoring external developments to determine their impact on the business.
- Maintain policy updates within the remit of the Compliance team, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns and reports, contributing to management information reports.
- Provide advice, training, and guidance to business areas on regulatory matters and support training administration.
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory issues and future trends.
- Undertake general administration duties, project work, and minute meetings as requested.
- Contribute to the effective and efficient running of the Compliance function, representing the team across the organisation.

**Experience required of the Compliance Officer**:

- Minimum 2/3 years' experience in Compliance in a financial services environment.
- Working generalist Compliance knowledge.
- Knowledge and understanding of PRA/FCA rules and guidance.
- Experience in undertaking Compliance monitoring quality assurance programs/reviews.
- Experience in operational risk frameworks and understanding key risks and controls in financial services.
- Understanding of the needs and issues facing the third sector.
- Writing policies and processes.
