User Interface Designer
**About the role**:
We have a new exciting opportunity for a UI Designer to join our team at Moja
After just launching last year, Moja is AXA's new challenger brand in car insurance. At Moja, our aim is to break down the usual stereotypes associated with insurance, and make it jargon-free, easy to understand, fairer for customers and provide excellent online support.
Doing things differently is also something we're baking into our culture. At Moja, we run more like a start-up - avoiding the corporate norms and old-fashioned hierarchy. Instead, we work in close-knit teams with people across the business to solve problems and deliver customer focussed solutions - and have fun while we do it
As a new business in rapid scale-up mode, each day is different. But if you want to work in a fast paced, fun and rewarding environment and are ready to help shake up the world of insurance then Moja is the right place for you.
We're looking to build on our diverse team to shape our product, CX and ways of working so insurance industry experience isn't necessary, however experience working with digital products, in start-ups, agencies or in the fintech industry is a big plus.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations in London or Redhill.
**What you'll be doing**:
- You'll be a key member of the CX team in shaping the delivery and UI interface for Moja, AXA's new challenger brand
- You'll be designing visuals and user journeys - including layout and composition, information hierarchy, brand and component consistency and iconography
- You'll be working with a cross-functional team, ranging from UX designers, copywriters, developers, product owners and senior management to deliver Moja's CX
- You'll be helping to maintain and drive efficiency in our design delivery process through regular design demos, communication and collaboration
- You'll work with UX designers to user test journey flows and interface designs; help analyse results and respond strategically to feedback from both users and stakeholders
- You'll be working collaboratively with our developers and testers to ensure designs are delivered through regular design reviews and feedback loops
**About you**:
**What we’re looking for**:
- You’re a design all-rounder who's familiar with UX best practices, design thinking, and have strong visual design skills
- You’re ready to get involved You’re willing to put your ideas forward, create great customer experiences, be keen to collaborate and learn
- You’re keen to work efficiently and agile, fail fast, and achieve outcomes with determination to overcome any challenges
- You’re work proud, detail orientated and keen to deliver quality
- You have strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable presenting, adapting your skills across teams and justifying decisions and learnings to stakeholders to progress designs through to delivery
- You have experience using Figma and are comfortable with UI design creation, ad hoc graphic design work and design system management
- A strong portfolio showcasing your work on user-centred digital designs
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
**What we offer**:
At AXA UK, we’re appreciative of the people who work for us and our rewards package is reviewed regularly to reflect that. You can expect to receive:
- Competitive annual salary dependent on experience
- Annual company & performance-based bonus
- Contributory pension scheme (up to 12% employer contributions)
- Life Assurance (up to 10 x annual salary)
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Opportunity to buy up to 5 extra days leave or sell up to 5 days leave
- AXA employee discounts
- Gym benefits
LI-Hybrid
**About AXA**:
With a presence in over 60 countries, and 165,000 employees serving the needs of 107 million customers, AXA is big.
But never too big to care for every single person who works here. So when you join us, we promise to put our collective might behind you and your career.
You’ll work in an open and supportive environment where you’ll be developed, challenged and encouraged to move around to achieve even bigger and better things - nationally and internationally. You’ll learn directly from senior leaders, from the best in our business. And you’ll enjoy real responsibility, really early on.
Every large company today talks about supporting diversity and inclusion. But at AXA UK, these values form an integral part of everything we do.
