- NJC - Local Government Services Employees Grade 6/7 depending on experience Full -Time 37.00 hours per week. Term time only plus 2 weeks *Job Purpose:
- To support and inform the Leadership Group in their responsibility for the development and education of children, particularly in respect of assessment, data management, reporting and communications with parents *Relationships: *The postholder;
- Is responsible to Headteacher via the IT Manager in all matters.
- Will be line managed by the IT Manager.
- To work with the Deputy Head on whole school data initiatives
- Will maintain good working contacts with all levels of teaching and support staff, students, parents, Governors, staff members of Education and other Council Departments and other similar agencies, contractors, visitors and external bodies. *Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collating information for student assessment, data management, reporting and communications with parents, including SIMS and its communication with other linked IT providers *Assessment Data
- * Maintain appropriate systems for tracking student progress against targets.
- To create, maintain and validate accurate records of student assessment and school curriculum and timetable data, in various accessible formats.
- Manage the collection and input/import of all assessment data both current and historical, (i.e.KS2 data).
- Liaise with appropriate teaching staff to ensure timely completion and collection of assessment data to meet set timescales.
- Design reports and monitoring procedures in consultation with the Deputy Head in SIMS Assessment Manager to enable the school to monitor student assessment.
- Record targets set and results achieved.
- Investigate and report on links between attendance and attainment, if required.
- Provide reports and analyses as required
- Ensure assessment data is kept up to date and accurate for on-line and paper reporting
- Use external analyses (e.g. FFT etc) to provide support to Headteacher and Leadership for whole school and department information
- Manage events in the assessment and reporting calendar, including the production of reports and information for parents evenings
- Liaise with appropriate staff to produce the external official returns with respect to the student database (e.g. Pupil School Census)
- Processing of assessment data, i.e., so that accurate student performance information is available at set points in the school calendar, and as required on an ad-hoc basis Page *1* of *3* *SIMS
- * Maintain and manage SIMS data and databases in coordination with admin team
- Be the main contact for staff for SIMS queries
- Be the main contact for GCC SIMS support for SIMS updates etc.
- Contact IT Support when SIMS updates are needed
- Manage all software packages that link to SIMS to upload/download information.e.g. Wonde.
- Run training for staff on how best to use SIMS and other SIMS tools.
- Import/input timetable information into the SIMS system as directed by Senior Leadership
- Ensure student classes are accurately maintained in SIMs
- Carry out day-to-day minor timetable updates using Nova T6 as directed by Senior Leadership *Data Protection
- * Work with School DPO to maintain and manage school data register with all relevant information:
- Monitor the information for students and staff that is held on different websites and services.
- Create CSV files and documents for sites to upload student information to them as required or directed by IT Manager or Senior Leadership. E.g. Maths watch.
- Maintaining safe and secure data policies and practices. *VLE Services
- * Help maintain Satchel One and other VLE services.
- Maintain 4 matrix as an effective tool for monitoring attainment and progress.
- Help manage and maintain CPOMS (safeguarding suite): *Behaviour
- * Design systems in SIMS and other software such as Satchel One to enable the school to implement efficiently, monitor and report on such things as Behaviour Management and Positive Rewards strategies.
- Maintain in SIMS and other software such as Satchel One individual student records related to Behaviour Management.
- Manage the collection and in-depth analysis of student behaviour data and report this to the relevant Leadership Group member /Year Leaders, if required.
