We currently have an opportunity within the senior management team of the Education and Skills directorate for an individual with a proven track record of transforming services and strategically delivering improvements.  You will lead our Inclusion and Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) Service.

The Education and Skills directorate is dedicated to working in partnership with other agencies, developing effective ways of supporting and working alongside our pre-school settings, schools and post-16 providers to improve the outcomes for all children and young people in Wiltshire by ensuring inclusion is high on the agenda.

As Head of Inclusion and SEND you will develop and deliver a co-produced Local Authority vision and strategy, with the aim delivering the best possible outcomes for our children, young people and their families. You will be responsible for strategic and operational management of the service, including ensuring best use of funds and managing a significant proportion of our High Need Block funding (£73m).

A strong and inspiring leader, you will have a thorough understanding of the education system and how this relates to improving outcomes for all children and young people, alongside experience and capability to plan strategically and implement policy change.

You will bring extensive experience of working in SEND and a solid knowledge of SEND related legislation.

**Salary**: £82,755.00-£88,090.00 per year
