Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a highly skilled individual to join the Inclusion & SEND Service, part of our Education and Skills service Directorate, where there is commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

As a Performance and Quality Lead, you will have responsibility for planning and leading key projects and developments within the service area and working to ensure that our performance within Inclusion & SEND results in good outcomes for our young people and their families in Wiltshire.

You will be part of the extended leadership for Inclusion and SEND and oversee work of strategic importance, including some Safety Valve workstreams, contributing to our Inclusion & SEND Strategy, as well as developing the SEND System of Excellence in Wiltshire. This will include planning with others for the OFSTED/CQC Local Area inspection and deputising for the Head of Inclusion and SEND, where required. The role also involves working with and influencing a range of stakeholders including leaders of schools and settings, governing bodies and working with parent carer and youth participation groups.

We are looking for a leader in with Qualified Teacher Status, significant understanding of SEND legislation. The postholder will be able to establish working relationships quickly and effectively and will use data to inform service development. To be successful in this role you need to possess a track record of leadership and management in educational settings/within a local authority and must be committed to supporting inclusion for children and young people within Wiltshire.
