**Network Rail High Speed - Station Control Assistant**:
It’s an exciting time to be joining Network Rail High Speed. We are making the biggest fundamental change to our business in its history as we look to modernise and deliver an even more sustainable and high performing high speed railway than we already have today.

We are looking for a Station Control Assistant who will provide a comprehensive monitoring and control of the stations’ systems, providing accurate information to all interested parties as appropriate in a truly unique business that brings the UK closer to the world.

**Who we are**:
Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK’s only international high-speed railway, High Speed (HS1).

The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts, and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Stratford International stations.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client ‘HS1 Ltd’, undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

**Overview of the role**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Provide regular updates on train and station services to all station users using the information systems available.
- Update station staff and Train Operating Companies (TOCs) on potential service disruption.
- Provide public safety and security information to all station users on a regular basis.
- Operate and maintain station systems and equipment including fire panels, CCTV, car park equipment and customer help points.
- Report equipment faults to the appropriate system owner/maintainer in a timely manner, maintaining a record of each fault occurrence.
- Liaise with Signalling Centres and TOCs regarding train services, maintaining a log of occurrences.
- Assist the station team and perform other duties in light of operational requirements.
- Fulfil allocated duties as prescribed within Emergency Plans.
- An excellent command of English language (both written and verbal) with a clear and concise speaking voice?
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment?
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team?
- Experience of processing and prioritising complex information in a time-pressured environment?

Also, it would be an added extra if you have the ability to demonstrate a proactive concern for accuracy and clarity and if you have an understanding of the train operating company’s services and UK railway geography, even better

**x 2 Roles**

The role will be based at St Pancras International Station. However, occasional travel to our other offices and site locations along the High Speed line and across the network is/may be expected.

We follow a **structured pay framework**, any salary offered will be within the following pay range:
Band 6: Salary: £23,000 starting plus inner London allowance of £3,270.
