**About Us**:
The ABC Assessment Centre is the training and assssment arm of the brickwork trade association, The Association of Brickwork Contractors. It delivers NVQ assessment services to its members as well as other brickwork sub-contractors nationwide and is now looking to grow its team of trade NVQ Assessors in various locations.

**Role Summary**:
**Role Accountabilities**:

- Plan and agree the initial assessment process & ongoing assessment to meet individual learner needs
- Communicate assessment requirements to learners, through planning, reviewing and feedback
- Assess and make judgements of evidence against the National Occupational Standards and maintain the integrity of those standards
- Make Assessment decisions that are reliable, valid, authentic, based on current practices and ensure that sufficient evidence is present when awarding units and/or qualifications
- Take part and actively seek relevant internal/external CPD, logged by the assessor
- Document all assessment activity and rationale for decisions
- Take an active role in the centres standardisation process
- Attend meetings
- Countersign working towards assessor decisions
- Implement both internal and external action points in relation to assessment practice
- Produce and provide reports for IQAs, senior management and employers as required
- Identify and overcome any barriers to fair assessment
- Maintain the integrity of the Assessment Centre
- Report any unsafe practice and potential safeguarding issues to IQA or senior management, in line with organisational process
- Adhere to all organisational policies & procedures at all times
- Contribute to External Quality Assurance monitoring visits
- Meet the requirements of the Sector Skills Council (SSC) Consolidated Assessment Strategy for the Built Environment.
- Hold or be willing to work towards a qualification for assessing competence in the working environment (D32/33, A1, Level 3 Award in assessing Competence in the Work Environment)
- Have demonstrable occupational competence in field of assessment through practical experience and/or industry recognised qualifications
- Have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
- Have good record keeping skills
- Have good IT skills
- Hold a UK driving licence

- NVQ Assessment: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- L2 NVQ/Advanced Craft Certificate in Bricklaying (required)
- Assessing qualification (eg. D32/33/A1/L3 TAQA) (preferred)
