**Jamestan Engineering Limited, have a vacancy for a CNC operator within the Turning Department.**

The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate mechanical and / or engineering practical experience. Must be reliable with good time keeping and be willing to learn.

Experience would be an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Running batch work and checking dimensions using various items of measuring equipment
- Filling in paperwork in accordance with our procedures
- Completing daily machine checks
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

**Skills**:

- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Following job route cards (process sheets)
- Basic IT knowledge
- Basic engineering knowledge

Full time position.

Working week 38 hours - Shift work.

Shift work - Alternating earlies / lates.

Earlies - Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:00; Fridays 06:00 to 12:00 (38 Hours)

Lates - Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 23:30 (38 Hours)

Friday / Saturday overtime when available.

Remuneration: £11.50 to £12.00 basic per hour depending upon experience plus 20% shift premium (£13.80 to £14.40).

Holidays 25 days per year plus bank holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.80-£14.40 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
