The Horbury Group are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join their busy Procurement Department at their Head Office in Rotherham.

**The main duties and responsibilities will be**:

- Producing purchase orders based on information received in site requisitions ensuring compliance with relevant specification standards.
- Coordinating material deliveries and ensuring project programs are met.
- Coding and placing purchase orders.
- Managing the tender/quotation process, evaluating offers from suppliers and negotiating the most favourable terms with suppliers.
- Producing reports of project costs and supplier performance.
- Organising and chairing supplier evaluation meetings.
- Introducing new suppliers.

**Preferred skills and experience required**:

- 5 GCSEs at Grade C and above.
- 3 A levels or equivalent.
- CIPS level 3 or 4 would be desirable.
- Good IT and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction systems, along with industry experience in Joinery would be desirable.
- Procurement experience.
- Good attention to detail.
