**Job Description**:
Our client, a public sector body, seek an Interim Head of Digital Learning for a brief 2 month engagement through until the end of February 2023.
This role attracts a day rate of £575 (inside IR35) umbrella.
Based in Edinburgh, there is a degree of remote working available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Finalise and Implement the digital learning product strategy and accompanying digital learning target operating model and organisational design- Leading on third party supplier management and procurement including management of the relationship the provider of the Learning Experience Platform (Pathways) ensuring swift resolution of all issues in line with contractual service level agreements- Enabling the quality and accessibility standards of digital learning ensuring deliveries via the product are continuously improved across the team and wider organisation- Leading on data capture and reporting arrangements for the Pathways platform to inform phased development of the system as well as meeting our mandatory and business reporting requirements- Leading on the day to day management of the Pathways platform**Essential Skills**:

- Experience in agile and waterfall project principles, including proportionate project management (PPM) that supports delivery through effective techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects- Experience managing IT services, including Cloud, preferably with an ITIL background- Experience of Thrive learning experience platform- Experience managing the incumbent vendor - Thrive's Learning Experience Platform providing the SME expertise to build and train the BAU support team- Proven leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships that support collaborative working and development/delivery of shared outcomes- Sound business case development/approval skills and good understanding of the procurement process including engagement/negotiation with third parties- Able to balance reactive work with strategic planning in order to solve, but also pre-empt, problems or issues that could impact on project delivery or the realisation of benefits.- Ability to quickly develop awareness of the wider People Directorate and DG ODO environment and able to assess appropriate connections and interdependencies across projects.- Experience managing Cloud based products- Knowledge of LXP platforms- Experience of working in the public sector- Vendor and contract management- Hiring, building and managing a new team, setting up ways of working, team and individual objectives
