**Client**:
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working exclusively with a public sector organisation in Northallerton, to recruit a Procurement Officer.
The organisation operates a **hybrid working policy**; 3days in the office and 2 days from home.
This position would suit an individual who is looking to develop and progress their Procurement career within a reputable organisation. Previous experience of frameworks and buying would be desirable but a willingness to learn and develop is essential.
**Role**:
- Contribute to the development of commissioning plans, identify business needs and future trends
- Develop and assist in under threshold tenders
- Ensure that all procurement and contract management activity is undertaken in accordance with agreed corporate procurement process
- Data analysis of all current suppliers and product categories
- Support and assist the Senior Procurement Officer in a wider range of commercial projects and activities within an aligned category area
- Support the provision of advice concerning successful contracting
**The Individual**:
- Open to individuals from Private and Public sector
- Great communication skills, track record of working efficiently within a team
- CIPS 4 qualified preferred but not essential
