A British Logistics and Engineering provider are looking for a new Marine Operator to join them on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position due to company growth and you will be involved in an exciting project The business transport and install large structures and critical assets needed to build and renew major infrastructure.

This is achieved very successfully due to the right combination of expertise and equipment, shaping the business on family values, and concentrating on building long-term relationships.

**What you will be doing**

You will be responsible for the safe operation of all project equipment

You will also maintain all barge deck spread equipment. Ensuring the barge housekeeping is performed to a high quality - including escalating potential issues to management teams

Supporting the barge supervisor through operational and standby phases

**What you’ll need**

Previous experience of working in a Marine environment such as at a Port, as a Deckhand etc

Experience in basic maintenance of marine and ideally barge equipment to include basic servicing and completing vital safety and maintenance checklists

Safety first mindset and the ability to work as part of a team

Collaborative and willing to work across and with different business units
