We are currently recruiting for a Sales Estimator to join our client in Ayrshire, who manufacture and supply bespoke metal products for the oil and gas industry.

Your role will be to maximise growth for the company by promoting a fully integrated supply offering and creating manufacturing opportunities through leverage of early project engagement through the distribution business. Preparation and review of complex quotations for our demanding customers in the Oil & Gas and other target Industries. You will be required to work from customer drawings and specifications to compile a cost and technically compliant competitive bid to the customer. As the key point of contact for your nominated accounts, you will also be responsible for continuing to build positive and proactive working relationships between the company and those customers.

You will have many responsibilities, some will include:

- Maintain and improve customer relationships by conveying their needs and expectations to the relevant areas within the business, ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained
- Support diversification activities into new customers and markets
- Submit quotations in a timely manner ensuring that the customer's RFQ requirements have been fully complied with and that any exceptions/caveats have been fully identified in the responding Quotation
- Liaise with Internal departments across multiple sites to ensure effective bid construction
- Support the Commercial Manager in monitoring and developing an efficient and effective Sales & Commercial Department to deliver accurate and timely bids
- Monitor performance of accounts through use of key metrics to provide drive and direction
- Ensure customers are well informed of order status and be actively involved in any required changes / interventions to support execution for customer satisfaction
- Conduct thorough Technical Contract Reviews of Customer Purchase Orders against original quotations ensuring any differences are resolved and documented prior to release
- Exhibit confident presentation skills, professionalism, interpersonal skills, time management and attention to detail in all aspects of role execution, both internal and customer facing
- Achieving/exceeding annual sales targets and all other defined KPI's
- Grow the company's revenue by ensuring that key clients are satisfied with the services provided, identifying new business opportunities for key clients

Our client is looking for you to have the following:

- Prior knowledge and experience of a Sales/Commercial role within the oil and gas industry or similar
- Demonstrable experience of management and accountability for teams or projects
- Experience in both a Sales and Operational Role would be an advantage
- Metallurgical knowledge of materials used within the Oil and Gas industry would be an advantage
