Communications Lead - People Team & Marketing, BAU and Projects, Cambridge
- The Communications Lead will support the sub-functions within the People Team and Marketing and stakeholders within the People/Marketing Leadership Team when engaging with our internal audiences. They will have a key advisory role and need to understand the overall strategy and the operating model of these functions._
- As an integrated communications team the post holder will be responsible for the development of consistent messages and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders and internal audiences through multiple channels._
**Responsibilities**:
- Strategic Communications support to relevant People team Leaders and Marketing Leader.
- Develop the annual ‘drumbeat’ strategic plan for all People team communication activities aligned to the overall business requirements.
- Provide communications advice and guidance for the People Team /Marketing projects.
- Provide communications support for People team BAU activities such as performance review, annual bonus plan and salary planning.
- Work with the Reward team to ensure effective delivery of all Reward-based communications activities and campaigns.
- Support the People team and Marketing colleagues to self-serve around tactical People/Marketing team communications, aligned to overall best practice set by the employee communications team.
- Measure effectiveness and report back on levels of engagement and understanding of communications.
- Proactively suggest areas/topics/opportunities for communication to support the overall business strategy/requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years communications experience
- Senior Communications or Business Partner Experience
- Sound knowledge of industry leading Communications best practice
- Understanding of complex organisations and the required response from communications to work across locations and diverse audience groups.
- The adaptability of different channels and approaches based on audience demographics and communications purpose.
- A flair for generating new ideas and driving change through new approaches.
- Experience of writing for different channels, content creation and editing
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Good presentation capabilities
- Multicultural relationship management
- Keen sense of personal initiative and time management
