NJC Scale pts 11 - 15, £25,979 - £27,803 per annum (pro rata for term time only), depending on experience.

Due to a planned restructure, Specialist Education Services is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join the team at Avocet House. We are a company with a national reputation for excellence in our work with Looked After Children and outstanding staff support and development, underpinned by a “No Limits” approach. Our two establishments for 8-18 year olds are based on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, both holding good Ofsted judgements for education.

**SES Teaching Assistants now have the opportunity to progress their careers to unqualified teacher status, a development and assessment year can begin**following two years of service or after one year if at the top of scale. If successful you would move to the UQT scale, starting at point 3 £25,323 with the ability to reach point 6 £32,134 (salary not pro-rata'd), you would also receive the annual SEN allowance, currently £2539.**

SES is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments are dependent on a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.
