Teaching Assistants (Autism Support)

Location: Westminster, London

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for Permanent positions)

Are you compassionate and dedicated to making a positive impact on children with Autism?

Protocol Education are looking for caring Teaching Assistants to work with children in Westminster who have Autism, starting from September.

We are currently working with a number of schools in Westminster who require additional support in September.

As a Teaching Assistant with a focus on Autism support, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for these young learners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Autism.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement personalized learning plans.
- Assist in creating and adapting educational materials to suit individual needs.
- Support sensory integration and behavior management strategies.
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for students to thrive.
- Monitor progress and record observations to track each child's development.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children with Autism (experience in a school setting is advantageous but not mandatory).
- Empathy and understanding for children with Autism, with a commitment to their well-being and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and specialists.
- Patience and adaptability to meet the unique challenges of each child.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications are desirable, but a genuine passion for supporting children with Autism is paramount.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
