We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The role will include:

- Providing assistance to the Teacher in supporting children one to one or in a small group;
- Undertaking preparation of resources for the lessons/learning and adapting resources;
- Contributing to the pupils’ development including their social and emotional wellbeing;
- Supporting the child in the classroom and in the playground;
- Working closely with the class teacher to develop the pupils’ academic and social skills;
- Engaging, encouraging and supporting pupils on an individual or small group basis;
- Supporting children to understand instructions and to discuss the strategies that the children use;
- Providing timely feedback and support children in overcoming misconceptions;
- Have a positive and calm approach
- Have understanding and experience of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
- Be able to use initiative to support both child initiated and teacher led learning
- Understand the importance of play in a child’s learning and development
- Be able to support children’s social and emotional development and show empathy and understanding
- Be able to employ a range of behaviour management strategies
- Be enthusiastic, creative, flexible and willing to embrace new ideas
- Be able to build and develop positive relationships with the children and staff
- Have good numeracy, written and oral communication skills and be able to contribute to the day to day recording of individual pupil progress
- Have relevant qualifications preferably to at least NVQ2 or equivalent
- Be willing to undertake training to gain further skills

**Learning Support Assistant Role - Salary Scale B £20,812 to £21,133 pro-rata (depending on qualifications and experience.) Term time only.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 7.50 per week

**Salary**: £20,812.00-£21,133.00 per year
