**Overview**
The Screwfix Imports team have responsibility for the end-to-end Imports supply chain from supplier to DC. As Imports Coordinator, you will support the Import Manager by being the primary Screwfix contact for Category Supply Managers, DC Planners and 3rd Party Container Inbound Team. You will be accountable for providing accurate Import Supply Chain visibility to the business and the management of Commodity Code issuance to group level for all EU / International Customs Clearance activity.
This is a hybrid role, where you'll be based in Stafford office or our Head Office in Yeovil 3 days a week, working flexibly around the core office hours of 10am-3pm.
**Key responsibilities**
- Take responsibility for the import supply chain reporting, ensuring the wider supply chain team have clear visibility on when stock will arrive into the distribution centres.
- Ensure correct information is provided to Screwfix Customs Agents to facilitate the customs clearance of goods arriving into the UK.
- Manage shipment exceptions from Far Eastern suppliers through online portals, escalating any impacts of stock availability to Category Managers.
- Obtain quotations for Air / EU Road freight from freight forwarders and relay cost back to supply teams.
- Liaise with 3rd Party Logistics team to co-ordinate the delivery slots for Air & EU Road freight shipments.
- Produce monthly freight spend purchase orders within the finance system to facilitate the payment of freight suppliers.
- Work with Kingfisher Group and Supply teams to ensure data held within Screwfix systems is accurate, ensuring data is updated.
- Monitor ‘overdue’ orders and redate as required in internal system.
- Track additional freight spends such as detention and demurrage, reporting back on costs incurred monthly.
- Manage key internal relationships within Supply Chain, 3rd Party Logistics and wider Group.
**Required skills & experience**
- Dealing with key stakeholders - whether Freight Forwarders, 3rd Party Logistics or staff from other departments.
- Experience working on multiple tasks, to tight deadlines.
- Prior supply chain, inventory, logistics or commercial experience within a retail environment would be an advantage.
- Proven skills in data analysis - able to understand and interpret large data sets.
- Excels skills such as pivot tables, v-lookups, simple formulas.
- Range of communication skills - able to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
