- £10.50 per hour, depending on experienceWe are looking to recruit a motivated Supervisor to join our friendly team.

We are looking for someone who has experience of leading a team, as you will be supervising in the catering team in the food barn and catering outlets around our 100-acre site.

We are searching for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who has a flair for providing outstanding customer service.

All staff are trained to work across multiple areas within the Catering & Retail team.

**Some of your Responsibilities**:

- To work alongside the Assistant Catering Manager and Senior Supervisors to ensure the smooth running of the business at all times.
- Happy to work within the zoo's gift shop and farm shop as required (both form part of the Catering & Retail team).
- Provide a warm welcome and friendly efficient service to all our visitors, ensuring that all staff are doing the same.
- Barista trained, as will be making a multitude of hot drinks in the food barn and catering outlets.
- Take customer orders, payments and manage the tills.
- Be highly organised, able to use own initiative to solve problems.
- Supporting and training, leading from the front to make sure everyone can excel in their role.
- Delegating tasks and ensuring that high standards of customer service are delivered at all times.
- To communicate verbally and/or by radio with Catering Assistants across all catering outlets and kiosks to ensure staffing, food, drink, supplies, cash, and security are well managed throughout each day.
- To deal with customer complaints and queries politely and efficiently.
- Oversee the security of the food barn and catering outlets, ensuring they are left safe and locked securely when closing each day.
- To ensure all records and checks are up to date and to oversee and sign off Catering Assistants work including training and day-to-day duties.
- Drive the catering buggy to move stock to other catering outlets around the site.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 2+ years' experience in a supervisory role within a catering and/or retail setting.
- Supportive team player.
- Confident using MS Office.
- Calm under pressure.
- Driving licence.
- Basic Food Hygiene.
- Adaptable and flexible.
