A unique administrative opportunity has become available within the Undergraduate Medical Education Team at Ipswich Hospital.

We are seeking a dynamic, driven and reliable individual to work as part of a friendly, multi-professional team in a busy and vibrant office, to support the delivery of secondary care clinical placements to medical students.

You will have exceptional administrative experience to facilitate the efficient management and coordination of timetables, events and collection of data.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as you’ll be working closely with student doctors, clinicians and stakeholders as well as providing an approachable and supportive environment to students’ whist on placement.

You’ll be focused with a can-do attitude along with the ability to use your initiative and prioritise your workload without direct supervision.

- To co-ordinate, organise and administer the undergraduate programme including placements, programmes of training and the implementation of national and local requirements.
- Liaise and correspond with student doctors and clinicians on a regular basis regarding teaching timetables, updates and resolving outstanding issues.
- To lead on preparing honorary contracts, course/learning information and to confidently deliver regular in-person inductions to medical students.
- Arranging, attending and taking minutes at meetings, diary management and to act as first point of contact for undergraduate enquiries.
- Responsible for the provision and availability of rooms, equipment and any materials as necessary in advance to ensure smooth running of classroom based teaching.One of the largest Trusts in East Anglia, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) provide hospital and community health services to people living across a wide geographical area. If you are passionate about patient care and want to develop your skills and knowledge then we are keen to hear from you.
- To liaise with the Clinical Sub-Dean, medical schools, consultants and the wider healthcare team about placements and programmes of training and to provide administrative support to enable the provision of this.
- To liaise with the Clinical Sub-Dean for Undergraduate studies regarding the direction of the undergraduate programme
- Act as first point of contact for undergraduate enquiries and maintain key local reference information.
