Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency Administrator

Based in either Reading or Southampton

**The Role**:
For formal insolvency appointments, assisting partners, directors and managers with;
- Attending initial meetings with directors,
- Conducting a solvency review,
- Preparing letters of advice,
- Preparing documents of appointment
- Preparing proposals, progress reports, and final reports
- Investigating the conduct of directors
- Assisting employees making claims for arrears of wages, redundancy pay etc
- Realising assets
- Dealing with creditor queries, then agreeing and paying claims
- Ensuring that key targets are met as per the cases' diaries
- Involvement in business development and marketing activities
- Over time we would expect the administrator to take on their own small portfolio of clients and be responsible the management of those cases

**Skills & Experience required**:

- Be able to prepare written reports to a high standard, providing the reader with a narrative explanation/ interpretation of financial results
- Ideally have been in an accountancy / bookkeeping role as you will be expected to interpret financial statements, review and prepare and forecasts and various financial documents
- Have advanced and comprehensive spreadsheet skills with strong numerical ability
- A good communicator who is confident, enquiring and happy to challenge when appropriate
- Have the ability to stand back and look at the bigger picture as well as having a keen eye for detail
- Work at pace with a good deal of energy and enthusiasm and be comfortable with a dynamic and changing environment
- Be able to quickly assimilate information from a number of sources
- Be comfortable in delivering high standard work to tight deadlines
- Be resilient in difficult situations e.g. you may be tasked with undertaking redundancy consultations
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Have strong IT skills, including Word and Excel, and the ability to adapt to unfamiliar packages;
- Have a flexible and proactive approach

You will ideally have 2+ years corporate insolvency experience, although detailed training, support and supervision will be given. Whilst an AAT or similar qualification is desirable it is not essential, and our client will consider study support.
