Symbiotics Design Consultancy Limited (SDCL) are recruiting for an experienced and multi-skilled **Welder / Fabricator **to work at our site located at our manufacturing facility in West Dean on the outskirts of Romsey / Salisbury on a permanent basis.

We are an architectural metal fabrication company. Working to meet our customers’ needs and specifications, we are looking for somebody that is extremely committed to quality and has excellent attention to detail. You will report direct to the Workshop Supervisor but will work closely with the Production Manager, the design team and most importantly, the fabrication team. The role will have a blend of manual working including welding and general metal fabrication.

We have a Bystronic CNC laser, Trumpf tube laser, CNC press brakes, and a well-equipped welding department and fabrication workshop with metal polishing and finishing completed in-house.

**Criteria**
- Understanding of welding processes related to manufacturing and engineering activities and strong understanding of quality and process control with respect to welding.
- A clear understanding and dedication to H&S within a busy workshop.
- Confident in working independently and on your own initiative.
- Competent in reading and understanding technical drawings and weld symbols to ensure that all products are built to specification & within tolerance.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and a pro-active attitude to problem solving.

**Experience**
- A proven track record with MIG & TIG welding experience in light to heavy duty steel fabrication.
- Complete understanding of ferrous or non-ferrous materials.
- Hold a forklift driving certificate (desirable).
