We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join the Lasercell team, located at our manufacturing facility in West Dean on the outskirts of Romsey / Salisbury on a full time, permanent basis.

Working to meet our customers' needs and specifications, we are looking for somebody that is extremely committed to quality and has excellent attention to detail.

You will report direct to the Workshop Supervisor but will work closely with design team and most importantly, the fabrication team.

The role will have a blend of manual working including welding and general metal fabrications.

Criteria

• Understanding of welding processes relating to manufacturing and engineering activities and strong understanding of quality and process control with respect of welding.
• A clear understanding and dedication to Health and Safety within a busy workshop.
• Confident in working independently and on your own initiative.
• Competent in reading and understanding technical drawings and weld symbols to ensure that all products are built to specification and within tolerance.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels and a proactive attitude to problem solving.

Experience

• A proven track record with MIG and TIG welding experience in light to heavy duty steel fabrication.
• Complete understanding of ferrous or nonferrous materials.
• Hold a forklift driving certificate (desirable).

About us
We use the latest in CAD/CAM software (Solidworks, AutoCAD) to create 3D designs that aid our manufacturing process.

We have a Bystronic CNC laser, Trumpf tube laser, CNC press brakes, and a well-equipped welding department and fabrication workshop with metal polishing and finishing complete in-house.

Pay:
£14.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
