The University of Oxford is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our prestigious Oxford Green Estate (OGE) team as a Research Coordinator. This role is pivotal in driving the implementation of land-based research initiatives and establishing Living Laboratories across the OGE. Position: Research Coordinator - Oxford Green Estate

Location: Oxford, United Kingdom

**Role Overview**:
As the Research Coordinator for Oxford Green Estate, you will be the key driver in facilitating research projects and collaborations that span the diverse estate. This role requires a deep understanding of conservation, ecology, and land management practices to evaluate research proposals and make informed decisions. You will work closely with academics, researchers, and the wider OGE team to enable groundbreaking research while ensuring the financial sustainability of our green assets.

Key Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day research activities on the OGE, including space allocation, project agreements, and ensuring timely removal of equipment.- Coordinate the Wytham Woods research database and update the Research Handbook.- Facilitate public engagement through the organization of research seminars, outreach events, and promotion of research opportunities.- Collaborate with the Estates Communications team to keep the OGE website updated with research opportunities and contribute to University-wide communications.- Assist in capturing and inputting land management and farming activities into the GIS system, ensuring data accuracy.- Identify networking opportunities with internal and external stakeholders and engage with a variety of audiences, interpreting complex technical information for non-specialist audiences.- Contribute to the development of the Oxford Green Estate's brand identity and assist in designing interpretation boards.

**Selection Criteria: Essential**:
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent Land Management/conservation or ecological experience.- Ability to manage and coordinate research projects across different stakeholder groups.- Experience in reporting on data and metrics, with a good working knowledge of GIS and high computer literacy.- Ability to work independently in a complex environment, taking initiative, and prioritizing effectively.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, can convey complex concepts to a non-specialist audience.- Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to inspire confidence in senior colleagues.- Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to be a key member of the decision-making process.- Driving license required: you’ll be travelling to different sites, and so it’s a requirement that you’ll be able to drive.

**Desirable**:
- Experience working in an HE Institution.- Familiarity with existing literature and research in the field.- Experience in project design, coordination, and management.
