**Role**: Waste Data Controller

**Location**: Workington

**Hours**:Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 4pm

**Salary**: £29,410 per annum

**The Role**:We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Waste Data Controller to join our established operations team, based at our battery sorting facility in Workington. Reporting the the site manager, you will be responsible for collating, organizing and analysing waste and compliance data.

**Duties & responsibilities**:

- Prepare relevant acceptance paperwork and labels, Consignment Notes, Booking in Sheets, Container Labels.
- Conduct pre-acceptance procedures on incoming waste.
- Conduct pre-shipment procedures outgoing waste.
- Direct vehicles to appropriate/authorised loading/unloading areas.
- Weigh all incoming and outgoing wastes.
- Record all environmentally regulated data.
- Maintain accurate and up to date recording systems.
- Track, liaise and keep up to date with all vehicles on and off site.
- Assist in the managing of calendars for incoming load bookings.
- Periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) reporting for commercial and compliance purposes.
- Liaising with queries from customers, local authorities, compliance schemes and relevant regulatory bodies on waste data.
- Print and complete the relevant paperwork for Hazardous loads.
- Proven experience within a similar data or administrative role.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, written and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise.
- Friendly & approachable demeanour.
- Positive attitude and a team player.
- Waste or recycling industry experience is advantageous.
