**ROLE BRIEF**

Spectrum.Life is one of Europe's largest and fastest growing digitally enabled Mental Health and Wellbeing provider to the corporate, insurance and education sector.

The Chief Clinical Innovation Officer is tasked with creating the forward-thinking clinical momentum the company needs to deliver outstanding clinical services and outcomes that will help it continue to serve its corporate, insurer and university customers.

This is a C-suite executive that will have a great deal of responsibility for the direction of a company, what clinical services and digital products we design and deliver and how we grow our clinical services internationally.

Working alongside the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), the Chief Clinical Innovation Officer is the executive who will oversee clinical innovation at the company. Working across teams and departments, the CCIO will be responsible for developing innovative new clinical initiatives, strategies, and products all under one mission and one vision.

**Description**

Provides executive leadership to Spectrum.Life, as a:

- C- Suite Executive (answering to the CEO)
- Member of Clinical Advisory Committee

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Chief Clinical Innovation Officer will be the global clinical leader for clinical innovation and will drive prioritisation, clinical programme development, and clear focus on overall clinical impact / clinical effectiveness into design, evaluation, and scaling of existing and new programmes.
- Alongside the CEO, the CCIO will be responsible to develop a comprehensive Clinical innovation strategy for the company and to communicate the strategy to senior leadership, innovation team members, the Board and other stakeholders.
- Align the Clinical innovation roadmap and portfolio of growth clinical projects with the overall direction, objectives and priorities of the company.
- Ensure clinical innovations are brought to the market in a scalable manner and to support the CEO (and CRO) that innovation commercialisation strategies are viable.
- Responsible for clinical strategy & programme development, supported by and supporting the Chief Clinical Operations Officer
- Responsible for clinical input into digital strategy & tech development, supported by and supporting the Chief Technology Officer
- Responsible for supporting the Sales team in strategic client discussions (eg Health insurers or universities) that are centred around clinical innovation to support their needs
- Responsible for managing (and delivering) Consultancy and Strategy to enterprise clients
- Responsible for clinical strategy around digital enablement of care model and clinicians
- Responsible for publishing evidence on clinical efficacy of Spectrum.Life programmes (supported by Data team)
- Responsible for all third-party clinical collaborations
- Use clinical innovation to nurture long-term relationships with customers and other key stakeholders, and to differentiate the company by delivering unique value.
- Nurture a culture of clinical innovation that encourages quality and best practice whilst having the ambition to rethink and redesign.
- Doctoral training in applied psychology (such as counselling, clinical psychology)
- Extensive clinical experience working with clients across the lifespan in variety of settings.
- Excellent clinical research skills, especially in quantitative statistics - experience designing, conducting, reporting and publishing clinical research (in peer reviewed journals).
- Excellent communication skills
- “Big picture” thinking with the ambition to solve complicated problems
- Willingness to take calculated risks, whilst ensuring the safeguards are in place for safe clinical practice
- Ability to motivate and inspire others with a collaborative mindset and ability to nurture team members' strengths
