**Full time/part time - various hours/shifts available per week**
**Term time and all year round**
**£11.22 per hour plus benefits**
Sibford School is an Independent Boarding and Day School on the edge of the Cotswolds and was proud to be rated excellent in its December 2021 ISI report.
The school has recently brought its cleaning contract back in-house, and is looking to develop the team to deliver an excellent cleaning and laundry service for the benefit of our whole school community. We are looking to employ people interested in either or both of the following vacancies:
Housekeeping Assistant
- An experienced cleaner with knowledge of working in a school or similar environment (preferable)
- Awareness of COSHH (Control of substances hazardous to health)
- Ability to work safely in an environment where others will also be working
- Recognise and respond positively to cleaning requirements
- Ensure specified areas are cleaned to the standard demonstrated and expected by the Senior Housekeeper
Laundry Assistant
- Operate laundry equipment efficiently.
- Launder bed linen, duvets, pillows, boarders clothing (including Uniform), cleaning and catering cloths, PE kits etc. to a high standard
- Ironing of boarder’s uniforms etc.
- Occasional bed making, including changing mattress covers etc.
- Specified areas are cleaned to the standard demonstrated and expected by the Senior Housekeeper.
- Laundry and cleaning requests are responded to promptly and efficiently.
- An efficient laundry service is provided.
Both roles require people to work effectively as part of a team, to work on their own initiative and provide a safe and hygienic work environment.
