Low Carbon Assessor/ Part L Engineer located in Nottingham offering a competitive salary for a large UK firm.

The client is a large building services company with offices across the UK, offering expertise in M&E Design, Cost Energy/Carbon reduction, Sustainability and M&E Cost and Compliancy services. They are still looking to expand their business, and so are lookingfor a BREEAM assessor to support with this.
**Your new role**
BREEAM Assessor
**What you'll need to succeed**

Your duties will include providing technical sustainability support to clients in a wide range of areas including:

- Undertaking feasibility studies / planning stage Energy & Sustainability reports.
- Undertaking building surveys and prepare associated reports for Energy Appraisals and EPC / DEC's.
- Understanding the requirements and have proven experience of delivering reports in support of credit obligations associated with BREEAM/LEED/DREAM and Passivhaus.
- Working with the design engineering team to derive low energy design solutions.
- Undertaking sub-contractor design and technical submission reviews pertaining to Part L compliances.
- Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports.
- Liaising professionally with clients, professional teams and staff of all level

Preferred skills, experience & qualifications:

- Preferable: Degree in an Engineering, Sustainability, or other related field.
- Low Carbon Energy Assessor accreditation would be beneficial.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with IES Software.
- A thorough knowledge of current energy and carbon management legislation.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of current and future environmental legislation.
- Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly with a flexible attitude.
- Is organised and able to work to a high standard against agreed timescales.
- High level of drive and enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
- Be a team player, but able to operate independently.
- Have a full UK driving license
