A highly reputable Bank are looking to welcome a Senior Hedge Accountant into their Treasury Finance team. Here you will be working closely with the Treasury team to reduce the P&L volatility across Treasury due to the interest rate risk.
The main responsibilities for this Senior Hegde Accountant role are:

- Reviewing the risk positions, structuring hedges, and analysing the P&L impacts on a daily and monthly basis
- Managing the Hedge Accounting designations, documents and will be performing effectiveness testing for all hedge relationships required under IAS 39
- Managing the overall results of the Banks Hedge Accounting. You will be providing explanations and commentaries on P&L movements, the accounting journals and will have exposure to senior management
- Acting as the lead and managing the relationships with the Treasury's external auditors on all Hedge Accounting issues
- In charge of completing derivative& hedge accounting related balance sheet reconciliations, as well as resolving and reporting any issues in a timely manner
- You will be responsible for components of the Treasury's FINREP submissions to the Regulator and for the financial disclosures around the Hedge Accounting and derivatives
- Ensuring that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to.
- Will be building strong relationships with the Treasury Front office
The successful applicant for this Senior Hedge Accountant position will:

- Have an Accounting qualification and previous experience in Hedge Accounting is desirable
- Have In - depth understanding of Hedge Accounting under IAS39 and IFRS9
- Experience with SAP general ledger, Bloomberg and FIS Treasury management system is desirable
- Can demonstrate you can collaborate and influence others (this includes senior stakeholders) across functional and geographical boundaries
- Be able to prioritise and deal with business as usual but also develop activities at the same time
- Have close attention to detail and able to meet deadlines
- Have a desire to find ways of implementing improvements
- Able to run projects independently
