We are currently recruiting for a Mess Treasurer to be a part of our integral team in Northwood HQ, HA6 3HP

**What you'll be doing**
- To advise the appropriate personnel on general administrative matters.
- To ensure that every member of the Mess Accounts and Treasury team receives the training and development required to carry out their job properly, in order to achieve the business objectives of the Mess in particular in line with Aramarks contractual obligations
- Ensure that inventories, statistical reports and all daily paper and computer work are completed accurately and within given deadlines
- To undertake any other reasonable task as directed
- Deligated ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of the Mess General Fund and all subsidiary funds
- To control the mess VAT account and make quarterly returns
- Maintain and update Uniware accounts in agreement with Aramark procedures
- To supervise the production and distrubution of mess bills in line with contractual obligations
- To control the BACS/Direct Debiting system of mess bill payments
- To receive payments for mess bills, accommodation charges and other miscellaneous amounts due
- Daily reconcilliation of cash held
- Monthly close and reconcilliation of accounts for internal service audit
- To present half year and annual accounts for internal and external audit
- To pursue the early payment of monies due to the mess and contractor
- To pay promptly properly authorised bills incurred by the mess
- To oversee the recording of each mess members daily expenditure on messing, bar and other items
- To produce monthly or as required a trail balance of all accounts
- To supervise the costing of functions and associated charges
- To brief all joiners of charges applicable to them on arrival
- To present a detailed breakdown of accounts, including an income and expenditure statement, of the mess general fund and all subsidiary funds at the mess committee meetings
- To pay authorised staff voucher payments
- To liaise closely with the Mess Treasurer, Mess Manager, accommodation manager, exec head chef, head chef, chief steward and bars manager concerning charges for mess members and visitors

**Experience**
- Good numeracy and communication skills
- Good financial awareness
- Good PC skills especially Word and Excel
- Security clearance process will be required
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and have resided in the UK 5 years or more.
