Production Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for Production Supervisor to join our Production team. This permanent position will be well suited to an individual with a strong manufacturing background, within the Injection Moulding Industry.
**The position**
Main responsibilities
- Allocation of resources to meet schedules, including temporary staff planning.
- Production capacity planning to meet customer expectations and achieving an OTIF target of 98% and an internal OEE target of 80%
- Provide production availability dates to Production Planning/Customer Services by attendance at Production Meetings (in person or via Teams).
- Manage and adhere to the make order procedures from Engineering to Production and jobs are Production capable.
- Assess, review and where appropriate ensure ongoing training and development or departmental subordinates.
- Ensure training records, work instructions and all departmental procedures are compliant and sustained.
- Reporting performance of department directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
- Ensuring data is recorded in a timely and effective manner in the required internal systems, e.g. Visual.
- Pro-actively raise any equipment issues, and faults to reduce downtime and maintain productivity.
- Positive promotion and participation in any and all H&S initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Drive the 6s requirements of the area under supervision.
- Work with HR on any people management issues with the aim of resolving any matters quickly, and fairly. Undertaking Appraisal and/or 1-2-1 meetings as required,
- Ensure departmental KPIs are met and improved. Set up and drive further improvements and new KPIs as part of TQM,
- Maintain compliance and actively support continuous improvements for Quality, Environmental (ISO Accreditations) and H&S (including a 6s target of 90% within your own department to meet overall business objectives. Being a major contributor to the H&S Committee.
- Flexibility to assist in various production related activity as required
**Other responsibilities**
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service by providing professional, helpful, high quality customer service before, during, and after the customer's requirements are met.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement by ensuring product quality is maintained and good working practices are adhered to.
- Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety, Quality Management System, and Environmental guidelines and procedures and undertake any actions associated with them when required.
- Ensure that reasonable care is taken to maintain yours and your colleagues’ health and safety.
- Always adhere to the Company’s Policies and Procedures as communicated to you from time to time.
