**Role: Night Porter**

**This role is vital to our success and the enjoyment of our guest’s experiences**

**We’re all work and all play - combining a fun-filled, social work environment with professional development and fulfillment. This is a full time night owl position who will be available to work, mostly, from Midnight - 8am.**

**Essential requirements**

**You must**:

- **Be eligible or have all necessary documentation in which to be legally employed in the country, which you are based**
- **All Documentation required by any Local/Regional/National certifying or Governing bodies in which to operate legally within you units country**
- **Have a up to date/active bank account in your own name**
- **Be able to converse fluently in English**
- **Where live in accommodation is not provided. Have a fixed place of residence and live within a reasonable travelling distance of the hotel/bar**

**The Role - Main responsibilities**
- **Booking guests into the Hostel, advising on our offering and services**
- **Assisting guests with enquires and questions - everything from do you have a hairdryer? to when is breakfast serviced?**
- **Managing the Beds and Bars booking system, ensuring all office administration is accurate**
- **Ensuring an effective hand over to the day team**
- **Working with the management team on security and safety**
- **Advising guests on Edinburgh's attractions/tours/experiences**

**Previous experience in a customer based role preferred but not essential**
