**Gas Centre Lead Trainer/Coordinator. Construction. Full Time. 37 Hours per Week. Permanent**
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Leicester College to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Lead Trainer Coordinator in the Gas Centre residing within the curriculum area of Construction. Applicants are invited from a Gas qualified background; ideally being able to deliver elements such as:
CCN1 General Gas Safety
CENWAT Boilers and Water Heaters
CKR1 Cooker Installations
HTR1 Gas Fires
CPA1 Combustion Performance Analysis
MET1 Gas Meters
The key responsibilities of the role include delivering and assessment of theoretical and practical knowledge of and managing/conducting the Gas assessments in line with awarding organisation guidelines to customers and students as applicable and to help conduct internal staff CPD. This may also include unvented hot water and water regulations based on demand.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of Gas training and conduct Gas assessments on site. Facilitate timely or relevant success of customers and provide a wide range of training solutions based on employer needs. Lead and promote growth within the Gas provision. Plan, lead, and oversee internal quality assurance and processes associated with Gas Centre delivery.
Applicants will have:
A minimum of 5 years’ significant experience of the Gas industry and hold the relevant Gas qualifications in order to deliver Gas core units plus specialist units
Level 3 qualification within the vocational area and a sound knowledge of internal/external quality assurance processes.
Assessor/Verifier awards or equivalent.
Approved certification scheme Gas qualification. (Core units plus speicalist).
Level 2 minimum in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above, or equivalent).
Previous experience of working in a commercial training environment is desirable but not essential.
An ability to demonstrate appropriate IT skills will be required including working remotely to provide distance learning and support.
Delivering high quality teaching and learning within the FE/Commercial sector, along with experience of developing course provision and knowledge of IQA processes are essential with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators.
