As a Foreign Nationals Outreach Worker,You will focus on engaging with people who have a history of rough sleeping and substance misuse. You will work relentlessly in shaping a society where people can be happy, healthy and safe. A society where all can thrive.
You will have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you will be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives.

**Salary**: £30,316.74- £32,412.09 plus Inner London Weighting (£3,915.44)
**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:
- Engage with foreign nationals on a one to one basis to assess and identify their individual needs in order to create an action plan, supporting them to reconnect to their country of origin.
- To assist homeless service users to be discharged from hospital at an appropriate time by moving them into appropriate accommodation as quickly as possible
- To complete planned outreach with partner agencies to rough sleeper encampments and offer support to any individuals who require support
- To work closely with the drug and alcohol teams within the service to ensure that substance misusers and problem drinkers are able to access treatment
- To participate in the ongoing statistical analysis of rough sleepers, as part of the MHCLG ongoing monitoring programme
- To work closely with the Housing Strategy Team and Supported Housing Providers across the local area in order to maximise accommodation opportunities for the service user group
**About you**:
- Ability to lead, inspire and influence
- To be able to communicate effectively with service users from at least two other EU member states (Czech,Slovakian, Lithuanian, Polish, Latvian, Hungarian,Romanian)
- In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following: substance misuse, alcohol misuse, mental health
- Understanding of the needs of people who are rough sleeping and/or begging
- The ability to work with confidence and patience with clients unwilling to engage with services and those that exhibit challenging behaviour
- Confidence to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of services, representing the organisation and creating effective pathways
