MJM Marine is a progressive, flexible and rapidly growing specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor. The business has built a reputation for excellence and innovation by delivering major marine projects for local and global clients and due to significant growth, the opportunity has arisen for an Senior/ Assistant Project Planner to join the team at our HQ in Newry.
- In conjunction with the project team prepare comprehensive planning information on new project start ups, including the sequence of operations and dependencies, resource and procurement requirements.
- Update current project programmes and plans with site feedback on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
- Advise project team of critical changes to priorities and critical threats.
- Control and record programme revisions.
- Assist in identifying techniques to improve estimating, planning and cost control on existing and future projects.
- Assist to develop various programmes from tenders, procurement, installation, commissioning to as built.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by Management commensurate with the role.

**The Ideal Person will have**:

- At least 3 years experience working as a planner in a Company’s planning department or contributing to the development of a project plan
- Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Excel and Project
- Demonstrable planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
